In order to qualify for candidacy, each individual must fill out the following form as an acknowledgement of receipt and understanding of all rules and procedures. The individual candidate is responsible for personal knowledge and behavior in pursuance to all elections procedures and codes of ethics. Failure to follow guidelines may subject candidate to censure or disqualification by the Elections Committee or the Office of Student Engagement.
Interviews will be held, by invitation only. All selected candidates must be available for SGA meetings on Monday's at 7p.m. and will be sworn in at the meeting following their appointment.
Additionally, selected senators will be expected to serve one office hour, participate actively on a committee, and attend training on campus the week before school starts each August, and any other responsibilities assigned by the Senate Speaker or E-Board.
Please note that all interested students are invited to attend Student Government meetings on Monday's at 7p.m. Students of any major can apply for "At-Large" Senate seats. Students of specific majors can also apply for seats within their specific program's College.
